Happy Holidays and welcome to the result of my positivity practice, where I spend 10 minutes per day thinking about what I’m enjoying, and finding value in.
A Song:
You’re listening to lots of Christmas music right now, and I think you might need a break. This song feels like it’s in the spirit, but is definitely not Christmas-y. It’s one of the most stunningly beautiful songs I’ve ever heard though, and I sincerely hope you give it a listen.
A Picture:
I found this hole in a frozen over creek while hiking a few years ago. I loved the ice crystals that had formed around the edge, and the effect it created with running water surrounded by pure white snow.
Some Inspiration:
If by Rudyard Kipling. This is one of my favorite poems, and it seems to get more and more relevant every year. It’s worth taking another turn through if it’s been a while. If it’s your first time reading, I urge you to take your time, and really allow each passage to penetrate.

Why your holiday traditions matter. The world is a very strange place right now, but we’re lucky in that scientists are studying what makes us happy, content, and less-stressed. They’ve found that adhering to holiday traditions tend to increase happiness. While it can be tempting to throw everything out the window in the face of chaos and uncertainty, sticking to tradition seems to inject some much needed cheer into our lives. So, watch Home Alone, pour yourself a hot toddy, and spend time with family/friends.
